Bismarck’s Tower

Accessible to the public Public area
The first 14-metre high wooden observation tower was built between the years 1891 and 1907. Soon afterwards, the tower had to be closed down due to the poor condition of the wooden structure. In early 1909, a building committee was established and the grand opening of the new stone tower took place on 3 October 1909. The observation tower was built according to the design of architect Rolf Beier by master mason Georg Zuber from Lipoltov.
