Memorial plaque – Luděk Šnepp
The memorial plaque of writer Luděk Šnepp (1922-1999) from Cheb was unveiled on the house he lived in Cheb on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of his death, on 11 April 2004. Šnepp started in literature in 1960 as a prose writer and in the 1960s he was Chairman of the West-Bohemian branch of the state-governed Czechoslovak Writers’ Association. In 1968 he emigrated to Canada where he also died. The making and placing of the plaque was initiated by the then municipal councillor and non-fiction literature writer Václav Jiřík.
