District Courthouse
The building remains the seat of the District Court in Cheb.
The monumental four-wing structure of the courthouse and prison built between the years 1904 and 1905 in present-day Lidická Street clearly conforms to the feudal architecture of the Baroque era, whereas the styled decorative forms are influenced by the symbolist concept of Art Nouveau. This is especially apparent in the large head of the Medusa, which is spreading its tentacles into the surrounding ornamental décor.
