Today, the Cheb Distrainer Office may be found in the building.
At the 14th plenary session held on 14 May 1880, a decision was adopted upon the request of the Presidium headed by Adolf Tachezy on the construction of a community house, which would be funded from the reserve fund. Concurrently, the design of architect Karl Haberzettl with the total budget amounting to 31,000 guldens was approved. The supervision over the construction, which was to be completed by May 1881, was entrusted to the members of the Imperial and Royal Administrative Council, chief engineer Schollmayer and Blechschmidt. The own construction was awarded to K. Haberzettl as the winner of a competition of tenders who succeeded in completing it ahead of time. The opening of the new building took place on 31 March 1881. As an expression of its satisfaction with the completed construction, the Presidium approved the payment of 783 guldens for work exceeding the original budget.
