School in Karlova Street
The building continuously serves educational purposes.
On 13 September 1901, the town council decided on constructing a new school building. After selecting from several choices, the town council resolved to purchase Anton Krämling’s plot at the corner of present-day Karlova Street for 21,230 crowns. The construction design of the school with 15 classrooms and a gymnasium was developed by Josef Pascher. The design of the building exploiting simplified Neo-Gothic facade elements was approved in March 1902 and a public tender for the delivery of construction and other work totalling 213,795 crowns was announced. The school was opened in September 1902.
